Discipling The Flock
by Paul Tautges
In Discipling The Flock, Paul Tautges delivers an urgent call for church Elders to disciple God’s people faithfully, know and use the Scriptures, but also know our people in order to properly care for them.
What is the Gospel?
by Greg Gilbert
This little book, from the 9 Marks series, is one of the most helpful books that I have read in recent years. Gilbert quickly establishes just how urgent this discussion is for our day.
The Bondage of the Will
by Martin Luther
If you would like to pick up an extremely helpful, old book, let me recommend, The bondage of the Will, by the great German reformer, Martin Luther. This book addresses one of the great mysteries of Scripture, the antinomy between God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility—God is absolutely sovereign and man is absolutely responsible.
Knowing God
by J. I. Packer
In a survey of pastors recently they were asked to give the most influential books in their lives. This book was at the top of the list. In my own life this book had a tremendous impact on my spiritual growth.
