Thank you for visiting our website. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you some information about our church. Providence Church is a Bible-believing church centered on the glory of God.
Nothing satisfies the needs of the human heart like a vision of the glory of God. How do we see God in all of His glory? The glory of God is revealed as the truth about God is made known. That is, the Bible unveils His infinite worth, His matchless beauty, and His supreme majesty. For this reason, we at Providence believe that the most important part of every worship service is the time that we spend in the preaching and teaching of God's word. Our prayer and desire for every service and every message is summed up in the heart cry of Moses when he asked the LORD, "show me Your glory" (Exodus 33:18).
Because we believe that the word of God is infinitely powerful and that it always "accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it" (Isaiah 55:11), we devote a significant amount of time to our messages, with most sermons being 45 to 55 minutes long. We also believe that Christians will be the healthiest when they are fed a balanced diet of God's word. This is why we preach expositionally--verse by verse, chapter by chapter through God's holy word, seeking above all else to clearly communicate the divinely inspired point of the passage. When we properly interpret Scripture and then appropriately apply the true meaning, we find that every person has the opportunity to be touched and changed by the power of God's Word.
